Augusta was born and raised in Coppell, Texas. She earned her B.A. from Baylor University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Political Science. At Baylor, Augusta was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and received the “Outstanding Student” award from the Political Science Department.
 
Augusta earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. At SMU, Augusta discovered her passion for family law through working as a student associate with the VanSickle Family Law Clinic, where she assisted low-income clients in divorce matters. Augusta also participated in the Dallas Bar Association’s Law Student Summer Program and volunteered with the Texas Fair Defense Project. During law school, Augusta was also a member of the Family Law Association and was a pupil with the Patrick E. Higginbotham Inn of Court. Augusta also spent a summer in law school clerking for Turner McDowell Rowan.
 
Augusta’s goal is to assist clients in achieving their desired outcome, while minimizing the stress that oftentimes accompanies family law cases. Her focus is on providing guidance, empathy, and understanding throughout the litigation process, while also seeking to help clients build a brighter future.
